What is a Page?
Pages are a type of resource item allowing you to create documents with simple text formatting and styling.
How to create a Page
1️⃣ Start by navigating to the main resource page of your community using the navigation bar.
2️⃣ Make sure you are logged in, and have administrator privileges;
If this is your first resource click or tap the blue button under the text 'add your first community resource' to open the dialogue panel.
If your community already has resources you will see the 'add new item' tile in the top left hand side of the resource pages. Click or tap this tile to open the dialogue panel.
3️⃣ Select which type of resource you would like to create, for this article click or tap the title the 'page' option.
4️⃣ You will then have the following options;
Customise the items appearance - To do this, you can select from our library of icons using the drop-down menu.
Name this item - The name can be different to the value upload. We suggest trying to keep the name to roughly 35 to 40 characters long.
Add to - Use the add to drop-down to select any previously created folders within your resource area. Find out how to set up new folders, here.
Spotlight - You can promote this content within your community by adding it to the spotlight bar, simply turn the feature on using the off/on switch.
Page content - this is the document editor, where you can add your content and style it appropriately. See below for more styling information.
Select the file you wish to upload - Allow the upload to complete before continuing.
Tags - You have the option to add keywords to your resource item. This will help give context to your resource item as well as improving, how members and MedAll users can find your content (depending on the visibility settings).
Visibility settings - Choose between public, private or draft;
5️⃣ Save - click or tap 'add item' you will now see this new item in the resource area.
Document formatting & styling
Text styling:
Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3 + Normal paragraph text.
Bold, Italic, Strikeout
Formatting:
Block quoting - pull out and highlight a paragraph of text.
Numbered bullet points
Bullet points
Link to a web address (URL)
Remove an styling or formatting for the selected text.
