Why do I need to be verified?

The MedAll Community is a safe space, designed solely for healthcare professionals. Which is why every account on MedAll needs verification.

How can I verify?

We have the following methods of account verification:

  • Institution email address

  • Institution photo ID card

If you are not based in the UK and don't have either of these, please read this article as there are other options available click here.

If in the UK, please contact [email protected] with your Professional council name (GMC, NMC, HCPC, GDC, GCC etc) and your Professional Number and we can verify you based on this. Please do allow time as this is a manual process

Can I use MedAll without being verified?

We allow limited access to the platform whilst awaiting verification. Some key features are restricted, for example; chat during an event, speaker privileges, also some events and on-demand content are only available for verified accounts.

πŸ‘‰ Verify with email

Providing an institutional email is the quickest way to verify your account.

What is an institutional email?

This can either be a professional or academic email address. As an example in the United Kingdom an email address ending in β€œ@nhs.uk” or "ac.uk" would be acceptable.

Use the country selector dropdown to find a list of domains we accept by country:

If you can’t find your institution on this list please get in touch to find out how to start the approval process. Message our support team at [email protected].

Your MedAll account email address can be different from the email address you use to validate your account.

Verification code

Once you have submitted your professional or academic email address you will receive a one-time verification code. Input this 6-digit code into the next step of the form and your MedAll account will automatically verify.

Please note: A gmail email address (or equivalent) is not a valid professional or academic email address that can be used for verification. This does not indicate to us that you are a healthcare student or professional.

πŸ‘‰ Verify with Photo ID card

We can confirm your identity manually by uploading your photo ID card of a recognised academic or medical institution.

Photo ID submissions are manually assessed and validated, which can take 1 or 2 days (our support team works from Monday to Friday during working hours).

We are looking for proof that you currently work or study at a recognised institution. For example; a hospital or university badge / lanyard with your photo, name, role/department, identification number and organisation clearly visible.

We do accept:

βœ… Hospital ID card

βœ… University student card

βœ… Degree with photo on it

We do not accept:

🚫 Passports

🚫 Drivers licence

🚫 Selfie

🚫 Birth certificates

If you do not have a badge/ID then please reach out to us at [email protected] and we will work with you on an individual basis to get you verified.

I didn't verify my account β€” what can I do about it?

If you didn't verify your account during the sign up process, don't panic β€” you can still do it retrospectively. Simply go to app.medall.org/verify or log in and click on the blue banner at the top of the any page of the site.

My event speakers aren't verified β€” what can I do about it?

Ideally speakers should be verified to access all the features during an event. The best thing you can do is encourage them to follow the above steps and verify their accounts themselves well in advance of the event date.

If the person speaking at your event isn't a healthcare professional and therefore doesn't have relevant ID, please get in touch with the team at [email protected] to explain the situation, and we'll assist with the verification process where possible.

Unfortunately we cannot verify you without credentials that show you are a healthcare student or professional, but we do realise that some countries don't have hospital or university email addresses or appropriate badges. If this is the case, please reach out to [email protected] as we are happy to work with you to find a solution.
