As a chair of the event you can really make a difference by introducing your session clearly.

We recommend wording for the opening session such as:

Welcome to this session on [ INSERT SESSION TITLE ]. This is a hybrid session which means that we have colleagues joining us from around the world online, who are really welcome. Regardless of whether you are an in person delegate or online delegate please use the chat function to pose questions or comments during this session. It means we as chairs can involve everyone - face to face and online in the discussion. If you are an online attendee you will see the chat box on the right side of your screen or using the chat icon on mobile. If you are a face to face attendee, scan the QR codes around the venue, click "register for this event", and select an in-person ticket. You'll then be able to join the event and post your questions by clicking "join this event online." By joining the chat you will also be logged as an active participant, be eligible for a certificate and to watch any on-demand content after the event.
