There are 2 modes for Main Stage on MedAll:

  1. Studio Mode

    • Speakers join the MedAll studio

    • A moderator starts the broadcast to delegates when the speakers are ready to present

    • Maximum number of speakers: 50

    • Maximum number of viewers: 10,000

  2. Interactive Mode

    • Both speakers and viewers join the same video call

    • A moderator can allow viewers to come on screen and ask questions

    • Maximum number of participants (speakers and viewers are the same type of participant): 50

To set up a main stage in studio mode:

  1. Set up an event on your MedAll for Organisations account.

  2. When setting up the event joining details, choose to use "MedAll Live" as your video system, and select "Studio with livestream" as the mode. Click Finish.

3. When you are ready to start your event, go the event page. You'll find the link in your MedAll for Organisations account. (If it is a community event listed on you can also just go to the event page via the events calendar):

4. Click "join this event online" - we recommend using Google Chrome to join events.

5. When on the stage an event moderator must start and be present whilst the broadcast is live. Every administrator or owner on your MedAll for Organisations account is automatically an event moderator. To join the stage as a moderator click "Join Stage."

6. Select the correct cam and mic and click "join event"

7. When on the stage, to start broadcasting to your audience click "Go Live"

8. To invite an audience member to join the stage as a speaker: an event moderator/organisation administrator can elevate a viewer to become a speaker during the event by clicking the three dots beside their name in the chat or the "people" tab and clicking "invite to stage"

Confirm that you want to invite this person to the stage by clicking "invite to stage":

The invited speaker confirms they would like to join the stage by clicking "join stage". They can select their cam and mic and join you on stage:

9. To remove a speaker from the stage: click the three dots beside the speaker's name in the chat or the "people" tab and click "remove from stage"

10. To end a broadcast click the three dots at the bottom of your screen and click "stop broadcasting"
