In MedAll, you will be asked to select your Microphone and Camera device before you join the stage or session as a speaker. If you are unable to select your options, it is probably because you need to give browser permissions for MedAll to access your devices or you need to update your browser version.

First, please use Chrome as your browser and double check that it is up to date.

If that doesn't work:

1. Close any other programs such as Zoom or Teams that could be using your camera and microphone.

2. Give Chrome permissions to access your camera and microphone.

To do this:

3. Open the event in incognito mode (Command+Shift+N) on Chrome

Third-party extensions may be blocking parts of the MedAll software which opening in incognito mode can solve

4. Grant Chrome access to camera/mic/screensharing in your Mac Privacy Settings

Camera

  • Open the System preferences

  • Go to Security & Privacy > Click Privacy

  • Select Camera

  • Click the padlock to make changes

  • Check the box beside Chrome to give access your camera

Mic

  • Open the System preferences

  • Go to Security & Privacy > Click Privacy

  • Select Microphone

  • Click the padlock to make changes

  • Check the box beside Chrome to give access your microphone

Screensharing

  • Open the System preferences

  • Go to Security & Privacy > Click Privacy

  • Select screen recording

  • Click the padlock to make changes

  • Check the box beside Chrome to give access for screensharing

Once you have given access, close Chrome and re-open Chrome again.
