It's that time of year, you might be leaving university or moving onto a new committee- either way it's time to transfer ownership of your organisation.
If you are a new committee member you should ask your existing committee to hand the MedAll account for the organisation over.
1: Login to your MedAll organisation
2: Scroll down to "Membership".
3: Select "Membership" and move across to the far right of the page to "Invite new members"
4: Enter the email of the new committee member, president or person you would like to hand over to. Select "Administrator" role type to give them full access to the Organisation's account.
Organisation members fall into one of three categories:
Each organisation has, by default, one owner - normally the user who created the organisation in the first instance. Additional owners can be added to an organisation and ownership can be transferred from the original creator, but each owner must be a verified MedAll user.
An owner has access to all of the administrative functionality in the organisational portal and all of the data associated with their organisation.
Administrators have the same access to functionality and data as owners, but they can be unverified MedAll users.
We strongly recommend that all users verify their accounts at the earliest opportunity.
These users do not have access to any of the functionality of the organisational portal or visibility of organisational data. The main reason for inviting these members is to give them access to catch-up material via the MedAll app.
5: The new committee member will receive an email inviting them to join the organisation. They will need to accept the email invite. Once they have done that they will appear on your organisation page as an administrator, as shown below:
6: You can hover over each user's role and change their status. To make another the new committee member an owner, select OWNER.
7: We recommend downgrading prior committee members as promptly as possible. As the new owner, the new committee member can change the status of the previous committee members from administrator/owners back to members, or delete them. You cannot delete owners but if their status is changed back to "member" then you can remove them from the organisation. NOTE: this will result in this individual not being able to catch up on any content you have made available to members-only.
