How to use MedAll for workplace assessments (WBAs) like CBDs, DOPS and Mini-CEXs

In this article we help you use our Case Based Discussion, Direct Observation of Procedural Skills and Mini Clinical Examination Exercise assessments.


If you are using MedAll as your e-portfolio an individual, like a locum or F3 doctor, rather than as a member of an organisation

Just click ePortfolio > workplace based assessments > add new and complete one of our standardised open access forms. You won't see any options to choose an organisation unless you have been invited by an organisation to use their assessments. Watch our video at the bottom of this page for step by step instructions on how to complete a workplace based assessment.

If you are using MedAll as a student or trainee at a healthcare training organisation who uses MedAll

If you are a trainee, student or member of a training organisation like a medical school, university or postgraduate training organisation who uses MedAll for their training programme, you should select that organisations' (or toggle between organisations if you are a member of multiple organisations) assessments, forms and logbooks. This will ensure that your forms are submitted to that organisation. If you use our generic forms or those relating to other organisations your training organisation will not be able to review your training. To select your training organisation click ePortfolio > "choose a training organisation"

Select any of the organisations that you have been invited to and you will then see their specific forms:
